Charlie and I were not here the day people filmed their first interview, and the next day was Friday so we didn't have enough time to film it, so we were assigned a different project. This project was to film a tutorial video on lighting and aperture. It has given us a bit of trouble, between losing SD cards, and figuring out when to shoot, so we are not where we would like to be, but are making progress. As of right now, we have most of the voiceover done, the intro and outro shot, as well as a lot of example shots of different lighting b-roll to put over the voiceover. However, we still need to film so other b-roll of me adjusting lights, aperture, and other technical things. This has definitely been eye opening as I watch a lot of videos on youtube and to see what people really put into them to make them good is a really different perspective and a lot harder than it seems.

I was able to film a news story for another group about the Rotary Exchange Program. This was interesting because I remember last year doing my interviews and news stories and it being a little challenging and confusing, but this year it was very straightforward. I showed up and filmed what they told me to. I was not involved too heavily beyond that, but I do think that one of the shots would have worked better if Avery had had us ask her the questions she wrote, instead of trying to read off the paper, because it sounded somewhat robotic, and she was not speaking how she actually talks, she was speaking like she writes. I don't think it mattered too much, because they were able to chop of the footage and splice in the other interviews and b-roll.
